West Palm Beach Police | Promotion Ceremony
"It was an honor to celebrate the promotion of several outstanding members of our police department earlier this week.
Recruits often tell us that the hardest part of this journey of service is simply taking the first step. And when asked about the most rewarding part of the job, the answer is often the same: it’s the opportunity to make a difference — whether that’s taking a dangerous person off the street or building stronger, more trusting relationships with the community.
While a promotion may seem small in the grand scheme of things, it’s deeply meaningful. It’s a chance to celebrate with your colleagues and loved ones who have supported you. And it’s a reminder that there is still more ahead: more responsibility, more growth, and more opportunities to serve.
As Mayor, I am grateful for your leadership and dedication to serving our community. Your leadership inspires optimism in times of challenge, provides clarity at critical crossroads, and empowers those around you to step into leadership themselves."
— Mayor Keith A. James
