Comcast Headquarters Ribbon Cutting & Proclamation
Last week, we celebrated the opening of Comcast Florida’s new headquarters in West Palm Beach! The new headquarters is home to more than 200 employees who play a critical role in keeping our City connected.
As a trusted partner in building connectivity in our City for more than 20 years, Comcast provides reliable, high-speed internet, which is essential to economic growth, education, and quality of life. However, their commitment to our community extends beyond its provided services.
Since 2010, Comcast has invested over $10 million in Palm Beach County nonprofits and initiatives, including organizations in West Palm Beach, such as the Urban League of Palm Beach County and the U.B. Kinsey Educational & Community Center.
Due to Comcast's incredible contributions and partnership, August 13, 2025, was officially proclaimed "Comcast Day" here in West Palm Beach!
"This day is not only a celebration of the company’s contributions to our City, but also a reminder of the power of public–private collaboration to achieve shared goals." — Mayor Keith A. James

Ukraine Independence Day | August 24, 2025
For centuries, the Ukrainian people have courageously fought for their freedom, self-governance, and national identity, overcoming numerous challenges and preserving their rich cultural heritage; and on August 24, 1991, Ukraine achieved independence from the former Soviet Union.
Since then, the Ukrainian-American community in West Palm Beach has steadfastly celebrated Ukraine's Independence Day, honoring the sacrifices and resilience of their ancestors and the Ukrainian people as a whole.
"The City of West Palm Beach recognizes the importance of promoting cultural diversity, fostering international understanding, and supporting the aspirations of all nations towards freedom, justice, and independence — and we acknowledge Russia's unprovoked war, which has persisted for over ten years, and stand in solidarity with the Ukrainian people in their pursuit of peace, sovereignty, and territorial integrity." — Mayor Keith A. James
Mayor James has officially proclaimed August 24, 2025, as Ukraine Independence Day in the City of West Palm Beach.
*The 3rd Annual Ukrainian Cultural Fest takes place this Saturday, August 23, from 4 – 9 p.m. on the West Palm Beach Waterfront.
