CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH ENGINEERING, PUBLIC WORKS & UTILITY ROAD CLOSURES 

  • 36th Street Sanitary Sewer and Drainage Rehab (through September 2025): Intermittent lane closures with flagging operations for underground work.
  • Georgia Avenue Sanitary Sewer and Stormwater Rehabilitation – Forest Hill Boulevard to Dobbins Street (through November 2025): Intermittent lane closures for storm and sanitary sewer Rehab.
  • Washington Road and Pine Terrace Drainage Improvement (through October 2025):
    • Washington Road closed to through traffic between Southern Boulevard to Pine Terrace (local traffic only).
    • Pine Terrace, Nottingham Boulevard and Malverne Road closed to through traffic between Washington Road and South Olive Avenue.
    • Intermittent lane closures should be expected on Pine Terrace between South Dixie Highway and South Olive Avenue.
  • Currie Park (through spring 2027): No road closures at the moment. Sidewalk along project frontage underway.
  • 7th Street Sidewalk Project (December 2025):
    • Sidewalk closure with pedestrian detours throughout the neighborhood
  • Clematis Header Curb from Rosemary Avenue to Flagler Drive (through September 2025):
    • Intermittent lane closure for concrete work
  • Chase Street & Trinity Place Streetscape (through February 2026):
    • Chase Street closed between Lakeview Avenue and Okeechobee Boulevard
  • Pinewood Avenue ADA Improvement Project (through September 2025):
    • Periodic sidewalk closure with pedestrian detours

EVENT ROAD CLOSURES   

  • Clematis by Night – Thursday, September 4, 2025, & Thursday, September 11, 2025: Note the following road closures will be in place:
    • Thursdays 1:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.:
      • North & South Clematis Streets between Narcissus Avenue and Flagler Drive
      • Lantana Avenue between Banyan Boulevard and North Clematis Street
    • Thursdays 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
      • Flagler Drive between Banyan Boulevard & Datura Street.
  • 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb & 5K Fun Run - Sunday, September 14: Note the following road closures will be in place:
    • Closing at 4 a.m. - 5th Street between North Olive Avenue and Flagler Drive
      • North Olive Avenue between 4th Street and 5th Street – Reopen by 3 p.m.
      • 4th Street between North Olive Avenue & Flagler Drive – Reopen by 3 p.m.
    •  Closing by 8:30 a.m. – Flagler Drive – Quadrille Boulevard to Lakeview Avenue – Reopen by 11 a.m.
    • Closing by 9 a.m. – Flagler Drive – Lakeview Avenue to Barcelona Road – Reopen by 10 a.m.

 

 

PRIVATE PROJECT ROAD CLOSURES

  • Olara Boat Dock (through January 2028): All lanes are currently open. Sidewalk closure along the project frontage.
  • Olara Utility Installation (through October 2025)
    • Pine Street closed from Flagler Drive to South Dixie Highway, through Friday, September 19, 2025, for utility work
    • Flagler Drive - lane closure from Pine Street to Butler Street, Monday, September 22, 2025, to Friday, September 26, 2025, for utility work.
    • Flagler Drive - Hard Closure from Pine Street to Butler Street, Monday, September 29, 2025, to Wednesday, October 1, 2025.
    • Butler Street closed from Flagler Drive to South Dixie Highway, Thursday, October 2, 2025, to Wednesday, October 22, 2025, for utility work
  • Flagler Forte (through September 2025):
    • Sidewalk closure on the east side of South Olive Avenue at Acacia Road and Currie Crescent.
    • Acacia Road closed for underground utility installation until further notice
    • Currie Crescent is closed for through traffic until further notice
  • PBAU (through fall 2025): No road closures. Sidewalk closure along the frontage of the project.
  • South Flagler House (through December 2026):
    • Diana Place is closed between South Olive Avenue and South Flagler Drive.
    • Sidewalk closure along the frontage of the project.
    • Southbound right lane closure on Flagler Drive until further notice for material deliveries.
  • The District (through fall 2026):
    • Hard closure on 23rd Street between Pinewood Avenue and Broadway Avenue until further notice.
    • Hard closure on Broadway Avenue between Northwood Road to 24th Street until further notice.
  • The Spruce (through early 2026):
    • Sidewalk closure along the project frontage.
  • NORA Hotel (through fall 2026) – No closures are currently in place.
  • NYU (through December 2025) – Eastbound Datura Street between South Dixie Highway and South Olive Avenue closed Monday – Friday during the duration of the project.
    • Parking stalls are not accessible along Dixie Highway.
    • Sidewalk closure between Datura Street and Evernia Street
  • CityPlace East/West Towers (through summer 2025): Hard closure on Gardenia Street between Rosemary Avenue & Quadrille Boulevard.
  • Alba (spring 2027): No road closures at the moment.
  • West Palm Pointe (spring 2028): No road closures at the moment. Sidewalk closure along South Dixie Highway.
  • The Bend (through October 2025):
    • Westbound lane closure on Banyan Boulevard between Narcissus Avenue and North Olive Avenue, through Saturday, September 6, 2025.

PALM BEACH COUNTY ENGINEERING & PUBLIC WORKS ROAD CLOSURES IN THE CITY

  • 45th Street and Military Trail: Watermain Installation. Periodic westbound right lane closure and northbound left turn lane closure on North Military Trail.
  • Summit Boulevard and Parker Avenue: FPL Utility Work. Periodic eastbound left turn lane closure and northbound right lane closure on Parker Avenue.

FLORIDA DEPT. OF TRANSPORTATION (FDOT) ROAD CLOSURES IN THE CITY OF WPB 

State Road (SR) 710/Beeline Highway Reconstruction Project (through late 2029)

  • Project Limits: 3.142-mile project in the cities of Palm Beach Gardens, Riviera Beach and West Palm Beach began on March 18, 2024.
  • Improvements consist of widening SR 710/Beeline Highway from Northlake Boulevard to SR 708/Blue Heron Boulevard from 4 lanes to 6 lanes, replacing and widening the Florida’s Turnpike bridge over SR 710/Beeline Highway, constructing an at-grade partial Continuous Flow Intersection (CFI) at the intersection of SR 710/Beeline Highway and Northlake Boulevard, adding sidewalks and bicycle lanes on both sides of SR 710/Beeline Highway, upgrading railroad crossings, drainage, signage, lighting, signalization and pavement markings throughout project limits, and upgrading Intelligent Transportation System (ITS).
  • State Road (SR) 710/Beeline Highway from SR 708/Blue Heron to Northlake Boulevard will have one inside lane closed in each direction, daily, 7 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • SR 710/Beeline Highway and Northlake Boulevard will have one inside lane closed in each direction, daily, 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • SR 710/Beeline Highway and Jog Road will have one inside lane closed in each direction, daily, 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • SR 710/Beeline Highway and Haverhill Road will have one inside lane closed in each direction, daily, 7 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • SR 710/Beeline Highway from Military Trail to Blue Heron Boulevard will have one lane closed in each direction, daily, 7 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • SR 710/Beeline Highway, lane widths are reduced and westbound traffic has been shifted to the median from just east of the Turnpike to Blue Heron Boulevard to safely facilitate construction activities.
  • The SR 710/Beeline Highway northwest ramp to eastbound Northlake Boulevard has been temporarily closed to safely facilitate this phase of construction and is anticipated to reopen in Fall 2025. During this closure, motorists can continue on SR 710/Beeline Highway and turn right at the light to access eastbound Northlake Boulevard.

     

    Intersection Lighting Retrofit Improvements Project

  • Project Limits: This lighting improvements project at 22 different intersections within cities in Palm Beach, Martin, and St. Lucie Counties is anticipated to begin December 9, 2024. Improvements include creating a safer, more energy-efficient, and resilient transportation environment by upgrading lighting to LED fixtures and retrofitting existing light poles.
  • SR 882/Forest Hill Boulevard from Jog Road to SR 805/Dixie Highway in West Palm Beach will have intermittent single-lane closures from 6:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m., excluding peak hours and school speed zone hours, Tuesday through Friday, for lighting fixture replacement activities.

  CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH DOCKS

  • Currie Park Boat Docks and Ramps (2400 North Flagler Drive): Ramps are closed through spring 2027 for renovations.
  • Lake Mangonia Park Boat Ramps (2957 North Australian Avenue): Ramps are open daily, from sunrise to sunset. 
  • Clematis Street Docks (South Clematis Street at South Flagler Drive): Docks are open daily, from 5 a.m. until midnight.
  • Fern Street Dock (Fern Street at South Flagler Drive): The dock is open daily from 5 a.m. until midnight. No overnight dockage is allowed for boats, dinghies, or kayaks. The Fern Dock is also the home of a West Palm Beach Marine Patrol Boat and the West Palm Beach Fire and Rescue Boat.
