West Palm Beach Police Arrest Suspect in High-End Retail Theft

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (September 19, 2025) – The West Palm Beach Police Department arrested 47-year-old April Martino in connection with a high-value retail theft that occurred earlier this month at a consignment boutique along the 5300 block of South Dixie Highway.

On September 3, 2025, Martino was caught on surveillance video concealing designer clothing valued at nearly $1,000 and removing anti-theft devices before leaving the store. The stolen merchandise included a MAE X Scalamandre blouse, a Zimmermann swimsuit, and a J. McLaughlin dress.

Following an investigation, detectives located Martino during a traffic stop on September 18, 2025, and took her into custody without incident.

Martino is charged with grand theft ($750–$5,000) and retail theft for the use or possession of an anti-theft device.
