Police Search for Suspect Following Officer-Involved Shooting

Officer Shot While Responding to Altercation, Investigation Underway
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (October 7, 2025) — Around 2 a.m., West Palm Beach Police Officers responded to reports of an altercation along the 300 block of Baker Drive.
When officers arrived at the home, an individual fired multiple shots at responding officers. Officers returned fire, and during the exchange, one officer was struck by a bullet in their ballistic vest.
The injured officer was transported to an area hospital and has since been discharged.
Through the course of the investigation, detectives identified the shooter as 22-year-old Emmanuel Keevon Dashawn Mcrae. Mcrae is described as being 5 feet 11 inches tall, a medium build, with brown hair and brown eyes.
Mcrae is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
