West Palm Beach City Hall, the Mandel Public Library and the Grassy Waters Preserve Nature Center will be closed July 3-4, 2026, in observance of Independence Day. Grassy Waters Preserve Nature Center will reopen at 8:30 a.m. on Sun., July 5, 2026, and the Mandel Public Library will reopen at 1 p.m. City Hall will reopen at 8 a.m. on Mon., July 6, 2026. Trash collections will continue on schedule.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (November 30, 2025) — The West Palm Beach Police Department responded to a train and pedestrian incident along Norton Avenue and Puritan Road around 6 p.m. Sunday.
Upon arrival, officers located an individual near the train tracks who was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
