RideWPB Downtown Shuttle Service to End May 31 Ahead of New Mobility Launch
WEST PALM BEACH, FL (May 13, 2026) — The current RideWPB downtown fixed route and on-demand service will conclude on May 31 as the City of West Palm Beach transitions to a new and improved mobility service expected to launch later this summer.
During the interim period, limited on-demand service will be available through Rose Trolley. Additionally, West Palm Beach Downtown Development Authority’s (DDA) Circuit On-Demand service will continue operating Monday through Sunday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. through the DDA’s existing partnership.
Riders should plan ahead, as reduced availability and longer wait times are expected throughout the summer transition period.
The City encourages riders to allow additional travel time, consider walking for shorter trips, utilize parking garages and “park once” options, or explore available Palm Tran services.
The new mobility service will deliver a modern, expansive transportation experience designed to make getting around West Palm Beach easier, faster, and more reliable. The upgraded system will combine on-demand and fixed-route services into one enhanced mobility network focused on convenience, accessibility, and improved connectivity throughout the City.
The upcoming mobility service is being designed to provide:
-
High frequency, fixed-route service
-
On-demand ride service with shorter wait times
-
Improved technology and system reliability
-
Expanded service coverage throughout the City east of I-95, from 45th Street south to Arlington Road
-
Autonomous transit integration
-
Sleek modern vehicles
Additional details and rider information regarding the new mobility service will be shared ahead of the anticipated August launch.
