WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (May 8, 2026) — The West Palm Beach Police Department is reporting an increase in vehicle burglaries, many of which involve valuables left inside unlocked cars.
So far this year, nearly 160 vehicles have been burglarized, with approximately one-third of those incidents involving unlocked vehicles.
These burglaries are occurring primarily Monday through Friday in areas east of Australian Avenue and east of Interstate 95. Unlocked vehicles continue to present an easy opportunity for criminals.
The department reminds residents and visitors to remove valuables from their vehicles, lock all doors, and take their keys with them when leaving their cars.
