City of West Palm Beach Launches Digital Public Art Guide on Bloomberg Connects

Free platform enhances access to public art—onsite and worldwide

WEST PALM BEACH, FL (April 16, 2026) — The City of West Palm Beach today announced the launch of a new digital public art guide on Bloomberg Connects, the free arts and culture app created by Bloomberg Philanthropies. The guide offers an interactive, accessible way to explore the City’s growing public art collection both onsite and from anywhere in the world.

With this launch, the City joins a global network of more than 1,200 cultural institutions — including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Tate, and Hammer Museum — featured on the Bloomberg Connects platform.

Accessible via mobile app or web browser, the City’s guide features rich multimedia content, including audio, video, and expert commentary, designed to enhance the visitor experience and expand access to arts and culture.

The guide debuts the “Downtown Essentials” walking audio tour, showcasing nine key public artworks by internationally recognized and local artists. The tour reflects the diversity of artistic styles and mediums that define West Palm Beach’s Art in Public Places program, offering users a curated introduction to the City’s vibrant cultural landscape.

“This platform reflects our continued commitment to accessibility and innovation,” said Mayor Keith A. James. “By bringing our public art program to Bloomberg Connects, we are removing barriers to access, ensuring that language, mobility, or location are no longer obstacles to experiencing arts and culture. Whether onsite or exploring remotely, this technology makes it easier for everyone to connect with our public art.”

Through this initiative, West Palm Beach continues to elevate its public art program, connecting residents and visitors to permanent and temporary installations across the City through a single, easy-to-use platform.

Bloomberg Connects offers free digital guides to cultural organizations around the world. The platform is part of Bloomberg Philanthropies’ longstanding commitment to supporting digital innovation in the arts. Bloomberg Connects makes it easy to access and engage with arts and culture from mobile devices when visiting in person, or anytime from anywhere. With dynamic content exclusive to each partner organization, it provides a range of features including video, audio, and text; expert commentary; and way-finding maps. Follow Bloomberg Connects on InstagramFacebook, and Threads for updates on new guide launches, exhibit highlights, and more.

The Bloomberg Connects app, available for free download from Google Play or the App Store.
