West Palm Beach Police Report Rise in Auto Burglaries Involving Unlocked Vehicles

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (January 14, 2026) — The West Palm Beach Police Department has observed an increase in vehicle burglaries involving valuables left inside unlocked cars.

Since January 1, 2026, 23 vehicle burglaries have been reported citywide. The majority of these incidents involved vehicles that were left unlocked.

The Police Department reminds residents and visitors to remove valuables from their vehicles, lock all doors, and take keys with them when leaving their cars.
