FLOOD UPDATE - Crews clearing drains; Grassy Waters Closed

This week, West Palm Beach experienced historic rainfall, with 11.67 inches over two days. As conditions improve, City crews continue clearing storm drains and addressing standing water. Residents who are experiencing flooding in their neighborhoods should call (561) 822-2222. Use caution and avoid flooded roadways.

Grassy Waters Nature Center and all trails remain closed until further notice.

Flooding Interrupts Trash Collections

Flooding disrupted trash collection in some neighborhoods. Residents who missed garbage, bulk or yard waste service should place excess bagged garbage, bulk items and vegetation out on their next scheduled pickup day. Public Works urges residents to remove items from the right-of-way until then to prevent storm drain obstructions.

Honoring Our Veterans on Veterans Day, Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2026

City Hall, the Mandel Public Library, and the Grassy Waters Preserve Nature Center will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2026, in observance of Veterans Day. Regular trash collection will continue on a normal schedule. All City services will resume on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2026. City Hall and Grassy Waters will reopen at 8 a.m. and the Mandel Public Library at 9:30 a.m.
