Update: Currie Park Boat Ramps

Reopening Date Rescheduled for late Spring of 2019

WEST PALM BEACH, FLA. (April 12, 2019)— The City of West Palm Beach Department of Parks & Recreation announces all ParkMobile permit holders for Currie Park, located at 2400 Flagler Dr., will receive a FREE automatic, annual renewal effective January 1, 2019 due to the delay in the reopening of the Currie Park boat ramps.

The City temporarily closed the ramps in late July after discovering significant undermining of the ramps as a result of erosion. After further evaluation of all engineering and safety options, the City has now extended the construction period to ensure more extensive, longer-lasting repairs and reconstruction of the ramps and finger piers.

“The safety of our boating community, residents and visitors is our top priority,” said West Palm Beach Parks & Recreation Director Leah Rockwell. “We understand  this is an inconvenience. However, when the ramps reopen, boaters will see the addition of new staging docks which will provide for an even better experience at Currie Park.”

For information about the free automatic annual renewal for ParkMobile permits for Currie Park, please call City of West Palm Beach Parking Administration at (561) 822-1500.

During the closure, boaters who wish to launch their watercrafts may do so at these area boat ramps:

  • Phil Foster Park, 900 E. Blue Heron Boulevard, Riviera Beach
  • Jim Berry Light Harbor Park, 1800 Broadway, Riviera Beach
  • Lake Park Marina, 205 Lake Shore Drive, Lake Park
  • Bryant Park South, 100 South Golfview Road, Lake Worth
  • John Prince Park Public Boat Ramp, 2520 Lake Worth Road, Lake Worth
