Pollinator Week is an annual celebration in support of pollinator health that was initiated and is managed by Pollinator Partnership. It is a time to raise awareness for pollinators and spread the word about what we can do to protect them. The great thing about Pollinator Week is that you can celebrate and get involved any way you like! The City of West Palm Beach Office of Sustainability is celebrating National Pollinator Week by mailing free native wildflower seed packets to City of West Palm Beach residents and businesses! Growing native plants adds beauty and important habitats for wildlife, especially for pollinators. Even a small backyard garden can make a big difference. Plant the seeds in your yard and watch pollinators come right to your doorstep.
Free wildflower seeds available (while supplies last):

As part of the City’s continuous commitment to enhance it’s Tree Canopy, new trees have been planted along South Olive Avenue. Approved by the City Commission on April 14, 2025, over 100 native trees now line the avenue including Live Oak, Gumbo Limbo, Pigeon Plum, Silver Buttonwood, East Palatka Holly, and Orange Geiger trees.
These trees will not only enhance the area as they grow and flourish, but they will also help to moderate temperatures and provide shade along the avenue, clean the air, and reduce stormwater runoff.
