"It was an honor to be a part of this year’s Firefighter Awards Breakfast — a celebration of courage, service, and community.
Our firefighters train relentlessly and answer the call without hesitation. In 2024 alone, the West Palm Beach Fire Department responded to 31,000+ calls for service — an incredible testament to their dedication.
To every firefighter: thank you for your bravery, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to safeguarding our homes, businesses, and families. We are proud and grateful for you every single day." — Mayor Keith A. James

Special thanks to the Henry Morrison Flagler Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution for their leadership in bringing this meaningful marker to our City.

Jazz in Unexpected Places Exhibit Opening at the Kravis Center
"Last Thursday, we celebrated the opening of Jazz in Unexpected Places — an exhibit honoring the local trailblazers whose sound, style, and spirit helped shape West Palm Beach and Palm Beach County.
Jazz is more than music. It’s a language of connection that bridges generations and cultures. This exhibit beautifully captures that story, reminding us how the rhythms of the past still inspire the future.
Special thanks to the Kravis Center and their incredible team for bringing these powerful images and histories to life.
Let’s continue to celebrate the music, the history, and the enduring spirit of jazz in our community."

Celebrating 100 Years of Rosarian Academy
"Last week, I had the honor of presenting a proclamation recognizing Rosarian Academy’s 100th Anniversary — a remarkable milestone marking a century of academic excellence, character-building, and community impact in West Palm Beach.
Founded in 1925 by Bishop Patrick Barry with the support of the Adrian Dominican Sisters, Rosarian has played a vital role in shaping generations of students, grounded in faith, integrity, and civic responsibility.
The City of West Palm Beach proudly joins in this centennial celebration and acknowledges the lasting legacy of Rosarian’s faculty, families, alumni, and leadership.
Congratulations to Head of School Virginia Devine, Board Chair Nicholas Coleman, and the entire Rosarian community on this achievement. We look forward to all that lies ahead in your second century."
