West Palm Beach Mayor and City Commission Meeting and Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) Meeting Approvals and Decisions
WEST PALM BEACH, FL (Nov. 12, 2025) – Below is a summary of the approvals and decisions made by the City Commission meeting on Monday, November 10, 2025.
MAYOR’S OFFICE – Approved a resolution finding that City-owned properties located at 202, 204, and 206 N. Sapodilla Avenue are not needed for City purposes, declaring the properties as surplus, and authorizing negotiations for a redevelopment of the site for a potential full-service grocery store.
DEVELOPMENT SERVICES – Approved a resolution accepting right-of-way maintenance responsibility along Okeechobee Boulevard, Lakeview Avenue, and S. Dixie Highway, for the landscape and hardscape improvements related to the development located at 383 Okeechobee Boulevard; approved an ordinance after first public hearing approving a City-initiated text amendment to Article XI Subdivision design standards and specifications and Article XIX Definitions of Chapter 94 Zoning and Land Development Regulations to provide clarity and consistency in the subdivision design standards and specifications, between the City and state statutes; approved a resolution after a public hearing for a Major Amendment to The Marina Commercial Marine Planned Development (CMPD) to modify The Marina Design Guidelines; approved a resolution after a public hearing for a Level III Site Plan Review for the development of Permissible Building Areas (PBAs) #4, #8, #9, and #10 within The Marina CMPD, for the construction of 259 multi-family dwelling units, amenity guest suites; private/semi-private club, offices, crew amenities, retail, and marina storage uses.
FINANCE – Approved a pair of companion resolutions, the first recognizing additional revenue and providing appropriations for hiring various full-time positions and the companion resolution amending the full-time equivalent (F.T.E.) personnel detail of the General and Building Permitting Fund.; approved a resolution authorizing the amendment of the General Fund budget, recognizing cash carryforward, and providing appropriations for Police vehicles.
HOUSING and COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT – Approved a resolution supporting a proposed affordable rental housing development by Housing Trust Group in partnership with Union Missionary Baptist Church located at 3900 Broadway, for a project known as Isaiah Clark Apartments, and approving a City funding commitment from federal and/or state funds in the amount of $640,000.
POLICE DEPARTMENT – Approved an ordinance after a second public hearing amending the Code of Ordinances at Chapter 78 to modify conditions for obtaining a special event permit, to add conditions for special event details, and to add authority for police in situations involving unpermitted special events and special events exceeding the scope of the issued permit.
PUBLIC WORKS – Approved a pair of companion resolutions, the first accepting a grant from the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) in the amount of $15,000 for litter prevention education through the Keep West Palm Beach Beautiful (KWPBB) program, and the companion resolution recognizing and appropriating the grant funds in the Grant Programs Special Revenue Fund.
