North Flagler Drive near Currie Park is closed between 23rd Street and 26th Street through Wednesday, Oct. 15, for utility installation. The work is part of the City's $35.5 million renovation of the Currie Park complex. Please follow posted detours around the work area.
City Hall, the Mandel Public Library and Grassy Waters Nature Center will be closed Monday, Oct. 13, 2025, in observance of the Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples Day holiday. Regularly schedule trash collection services will continue on schedule. City Hall and the Grassy Waters Nature Center will reopen at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2025, and the Mandel Public Library at 9:30 a.m.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (July 8, 2025) – The West Palm Beach Police Department responded to a shooting along the 700 block of N. Tamarind Avenue around 6:30 p.m. on Monday, July 7.
Upon arrival, officers located an individual with a gunshot wound. The individual was transported to an area hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Investigators on scene reviewed surveillance video and were quickly able to identify a suspect vehicle. With assistance from the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, the vehicle was located in Lake Worth a short time later. The driver of the suspect vehicle at the time of the shooting was identified as 18-year-old Demetri Turner.
Turner was arrested for First Degree Murder with a Firearm and transported to the Palm Beach County Jail under FSS 782.04 (1A1).
