At the June 22, 2026 City Commission Meeting, the Commission will consider a proposal to remove the current 80% discount on the City's Fire Service Assessment for nonprofit-owned institutional properties. This item is being brought forward following direction from the City Commission during a March 23, 2026 Mayor/Commission Work Session. Other Fire Service Assessment rates would remain unchanged.
West Palm Beach City Hall, the Mandel Public Library and the Grassy Waters Preserve Nature Center will be closed on Friday, June 19, 2026, in observance of federal Juneteenth National Independence Day. Grassy Waters Preserve Nature Center will reopen at 8 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2026, and the Mandel Public Library reopens at 9:30 a.m. City Hall will reopen at 8 a.m. on Monday, June 22, 2026.

West Palm Beach Police Department Concludes Successful CityPlace Traffic Enforcement Operation
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (April 9, 2025) -- From March 31 to April 4, the West Palm Beach Police Department conducted a focused traffic enforcement operation in CityPlace aimed at promoting safe driving and ensuring compliance with traffic laws.
Throughout the operation, officers issued a total of 12 citations and 34 warnings. The effort was completed without incident, and officers reported positive feedback from community members during the enforcement period.
Officers will continue to monitor traffic in the CityPlace area and address any issues as needed.
