City of West Palm Beach Deploys Amano ONE Parking Platform

Across Municipal Parking Facilities

West Palm Beach, FL (April 9, 2026) – The City of West Palm Beach and Amano McGann have successfully completed the installation of the Amano ONE Parking Access and Revenue Control System (PARCS) solution across multiple municipal parking locations. The solution is enhancing efficiency, improving the user experience, and modernizing parking infrastructure throughout the City.

After more than 10 years of rigorous use of the previous system, the City sought a solution that could meet evolving operational demands and customer expectations. The project, completed between September 2025 and February 2026, upgraded the City’s legacy Amano McGann system with the modern Amano ONE platform across 34 lanes and multiple parking facilities.

“These enhancements to our public garage access systems are part of a larger vision to strengthen mobility across our City,” said Mayor Keith A. James. “As West Palm Beach continues to grow, we are making thoughtful, forward-looking investments that improve access, enhance the user experience, and support how our community lives, works, and moves every day.”

The installation required careful coordination around the City’s active event schedule and ongoing infrastructure changes, including lane conversions for reversible traffic. Despite these complexities, the project was delivered on schedule with minimal disruption.

Seamless pay-on-entry experience to improve ease of access
Faster, more reliable credit card processing for a smoother customer experience
License Plate Recognition (LPR) with pre- and post-capture to enhance accuracy and reduce misuse
Mobile payment integration to support increased digital adoption and convenience
Validation functionality to better serve partners and customers
Integration with third-party systems, including Saphire, for greater operational flexibility
Advanced infrastructure upgrades, including dedicated network switches and a centralized video wall in the operations command center
Improved system reliability and operational efficiency across all parking facilities

Since implementation, the City has seen immediate improvements in both operational efficiency and customer experience. “The speed of exiting the garage has been excellent—and people are noticing,” said Giust. “We’ve also seen an increase in credit card usage, which speaks to how easy the system is to use. Most importantly, this platform gives us the flexibility to grow and adapt — we are not locked into something that becomes outdated.”

Even without formal promotion, mobile payment adoption has been strong, while the integration of License Plate Recognition (LPR) and pay-on-entry functionality has significantly improved traffic flow, particularly during high-volume events. Together, these enhancements are delivering a faster, more seamless experience for residents and visitors while positioning the City for long-term success.
