West Palm Beach’s Clematis by Night Nominated for USA TODAY 10Best Recognition

City’s popular concert series aims to climb the charts in “Best Outdoor Concert Series,” voting now open

WEST PALM BEACH, FL (April 13, 2026) — The City of West Palm Beach’s popular Clematis by Night series could soon add another prestigious award to its collection of recognitions. The Thursday night staple, with a legacy of providing free, family-friendly concerts for more than 30 years, was again nominated as a USA TODAY 10Best “Best Outdoor Concert Series.” Clematis by Night ranked runner-up in 2025 and third in 2024. The City is aiming to climb the charts again, this time to No. 1. Concertgoers and fans of Clematis by Night can vote once daily, now through Monday, May 11, at 11:59 a.m. EDT, by visiting wpb.org/events.

“Clematis by Night is more than a concert series; it is part of West Palm Beach’s legacy,” said Mayor Keith A. James. “For more than three decades, it has brought people together through music, culture, and a shared appreciation for our waterfront and community. Being recognized once again on the national stage speaks to the spirit, diversity, and energy that define our City, and we’re proud to see Clematis by Night continue to shine.”

A USA TODAY 10Best panel of travel experts determined the top 20 concert series list, and now it is up to the public to select the top 10 winners. The final rankings will be announced on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at noon. USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice awards highlight the best of the best in contests covering categories such as destinations, food and drink, hotels, and things to do.

“We are grateful for the recognition for our long-standing Clematis by Night tradition,” said Angela Poco, Marketing and Community Events Manager for the City of West Palm Beach. “Every week, our residents enjoy lively performances with scenic water views. It is an experience that is truly unique to West Palm Beach. This nomination underscores the value of our Community Events in enhancing our diverse and rapidly growing community.”

The Clematis by Night series happens every Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Palm Stage on the Great Lawn. The open-air theatre, set adjacent to the West Palm Beach Waterfront, offers stunning views and fresh ocean breezes, creating an unmatched seaside atmosphere. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or a blanket. Genres range from country to soul and the latest top hits, featuring popular local, regional, and national bands.
