City of West Palm Beach’s GreenMarket Reclaims No. 1 Ranking in National Competition
For the fourth time, friends and fans propel West Palm Beach GreenMarket to the top in USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice poll
WEST PALM BEACH, FL (April 22, 2026) — The City of West Palm Beach is celebrating again after receiving an impressive honor for its West Palm Beach GreenMarket. The well-known market has reclaimed the No. 1 spot on a nationwide USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice poll, where supporters of the Saturday staple helped push the market back to the top of the rankings, reaffirming its title as the No. 1 “Best Farmers Market” in the U.S. The West Palm Beach GreenMarket competed against 19 other popular markets, including those in Colorado, Hawaii, California, and more.
This is the fourth time the West Palm Beach GreenMarket has won the top prize in this competition. Remarkably, it took the No. 1 spot in 2021, 2022, and 2023, making it the only market to hold that position for three straight years. In 2024 and 2025, it was ranked No. 2.
“We want to thank everyone who voted and helped us achieve this honorable ranking,” said Mayor Keith A. James. “Anyone who’s spent a Saturday morning at the GreenMarket can see why it’s earned this recognition and rightful title. Our community, vendors, and waterfront setting are hallmarks of what makes West Palm Beach so special, and we are grateful to carry this badge of honor.”
Now in its 31st season, the West Palm Beach GreenMarket features a record 150 vendors, including 45 new ones, and will run through May 30, 2026, making it the largest market and longest season in its history. This year’s GreenMarket theme is “From the Ground Up,” in honor of the Market’s success in nurturing a thriving community of farmers, growers, makers, and entrepreneurs. Over the last 30 seasons, the Market has grown from a place to shop into a destination and a tradition for both locals and visitors.
“This market has become a Saturday favorite for many people, and that’s what makes this recognition so meaningful,” said Angela Poco, City of WPB’s Marketing and Community Events Manager. “In addition to highlighting the most talented vendors and products, we provide an environment where people can come together as a community. To see those efforts recognized in a national competition is always an honor.”
Poco oversees all the City’s community events, including Clematis by Night, which was recently nominated by the USA TODAY 10Best judging panel as a “Best Outdoor Concert Series.” Clematis by Night has secured the No. 3 and No. 2 spots in 2023 and 2024, respectively, and City organizers aim to propel it to the top. To vote in that competition, friends and fans of the legacy event can visit wpb.org/events now through May 11 at 11:59 a.m. EDT.
Sponsors of the current season include: Land Rover Palm Beach, Joe DiMaggio Children’s Health Specialty Center, Florida Blue, The Hemp Company, AT&T, Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections, Journey Church West Palm Beach, PopStroke, SUNNY 107.9, NEW COUNTRY 103.1, WPB Magazine, West Palm Beach Food Tours, West Palm Beach Downtown Development Authority, WPBF 25, Xfinity, Ox Floors and Chewy Vet Care.
