CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH ENGINEERING, PUBLIC WORKS & UTILITY ROAD CLOSURES 

  • Currie Park (through spring 2027):
    • Sidewalk closure along project frontage
  • 26th Street Utility Improvement Project (summer 2026):
    • Full Closure of Flagler Drive & 26th Street through May 2026 for utility Improvements. Follow posted detour.
  • Chase Street & Trinity Place Streetscape (through summer 2026):
    • Chase Street closed between Trinity Place and Tanglewood Court. Intersection of Tanglewood Court & Trinity Place remains open to through traffic.
    • Trinity Place closed between South Olive Avenue & Chase Street. Road remains open for local traffic only.
  • Northmore Neighborhood Sidewalk Improvements (through summer 2026):

    • Monreaux is closed to traffic between Flagler Drive and Washington Road through Friday, May 1.

PRIVATE PROJECT ROAD CLOSURES

  • Olara Boat Dock (through January 2028): No closures.
  • Olara:
    • Butler Street from Ponce De Leon Avenue to Flagler Drive closed from May 4 to May 29, 2026 for utility work.
  • Ritz Carlton (through late 2027):
    • Right southbound lane of North Flagler Drive closed between Pine Street and North Lakeside Court until further notice.
  • Shorecrest (through late 2027)
    • Right southbound lane of North Flagler Drive closed between Pine Street and North Lakeside Court until further notice.
  • PBAU Parking Garage & Residence Tower (through summer 2027)
    • Full closure on Gruber Place from Dixie Highway to Wallingford Place until further notice, including sidewalk.

PALM BEACH COUNTY ENGINEERING & PUBLIC WORKS ROAD CLOSURES IN THE CITY

  • South Australian Avenue south of Mercer Avenue and Old Okeechobee Road: Periodic nighttime two northbound right lane closures. Northbound right turn lane closure for drainage installation.
  • South Australian Avenue from I-95 to Okeechobee Boulevard: Periodic lane closures for drainage installation.
  • North Australian Avenue between 42nd Street and 43rd Street: Periodic north and south bound lane closures for watermain installation.

FLORIDA DEPT. OF TRANSPORTATION (FDOT) ROAD CLOSURES IN THE CITY OF WPB 

State Road 5/U.S. 1 Resurfacing, Restoration and Rehabilitation Project (through Spring 2027)

  • Belvedere Road to S.R. 704/Okeechobee Boulevard (all lanes currently open):
    • Intermittent northbound lane closures permitted between the hours of:
      • 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. at Belvedere Road
      • 10 a.m. to 7 a.m. at Flamingo Drive
      • 8:30 p.m. to 7 a.m. at S.R. 704/Okeechobee Boulevard
    • Intermittent southbound lane closures permitted between the hours of:
      • 8 p.m. to 8:30 a.m. at Belvedere Road
      • 8 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Flamingo Drive
      • 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 a.m. at S.R. 704/Okeechobee Boulevard
    • Intermittent lane closures outside of the intersections are permitted between 6:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
    • Continuous lane closures permitted:
      • The northbound outside lane along S.R. 5/ U.S. 1 will be closed continuously during drainage operations.
      • Detours will be permitted from Fridays at 10 p.m. to Sundays at 9 p.m. for road construction, and 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Mondays through Fridays for overhead sign installations.
      • Sidewalk, business, and residential access will be maintained at all times.

State Road (SR) 710/Beeline Highway Reconstruction Project (through late 2029)

  • Project Limits: 3.142-mile project in the cities of Palm Beach Gardens, Riviera Beach and West Palm Beach began on March 18, 2024.
  • Improvements consist of widening SR 710/Beeline Highway from Northlake Boulevard to SR 708/Blue Heron Boulevard from 4 lanes to 6 lanes, replacing and widening the Florida’s Turnpike bridge over SR 710/Beeline Highway, constructing an at-grade partial Continuous Flow Intersection (CFI) at the intersection of SR 710/Beeline Highway and Northlake Boulevard, adding sidewalks and bicycle lanes on both sides of SR 710/Beeline Highway, upgrading railroad crossings, drainage, signage, lighting, signalization and pavement markings throughout project limits, and upgrading Intelligent Transportation System (ITS).
  • S.R. 710/Beeline Highway lanes from S.R. 809/Military Trail to S.R. 708/Blue Heron Boulevard will be reduced to one inside lane until May 2026. 
  • S.R. 710/Beeline Highway from S.R. 708/Blue Heron to Northlake Boulevard will have one inside lane closed in each direction daily, 7 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • S.R. 710/Beeline Highway and Northlake Boulevard will have one inside lane closed in each direction daily, 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • S.R. 710/Beeline Highway and Jog Road will have one inside lane closed in each direction daily, 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • S.R. 710/Beeline Highway and Haverhill Road will have one inside lane closed in each direction daily, 7 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • S.R. 710/Beeline Highway from Military Trail to Blue Heron Boulevard will have one lane closed in each direction daily, 7 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • S.R. 710/Beeline Highway lane widths are reduced, and westbound traffic has been shifted to the median from just east of the Turnpike to Blue Heron Boulevard to safely facilitate construction activities.
  • S.R. 710/Beeline Highway will have one southeast-bound lane closed daily, from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • S.R. 710/Beeline Highway from south of Haverhill Road to north of Jog Road will have one outside southeast-bound lane closed from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday, to safely facilitate demolition activities.
  • The S.R. 710/Beeline Highway northwest ramp to eastbound Northlake Boulevard has been temporarily closed to safely facilitate this phase of construction and is anticipated to reopen in spring 2026. During this closure, motorists can continue on S.R. 710/Beeline Highway and turn right at the light to access eastbound Northlake Boulevard.
  • The southeast S.R. 710/Beeline Highway left turn lane to eastbound S.R. 708/Blue Heron Boulevard will be closed around-the-clock through May 2026.
  • Detour:
    • Motorists traveling to eastbound S.R. 708/Blue Heron Boulevard will be detoured via southeast S.R. 710/Beeline Highway, north on S.R. 809/Military Trail, and east on S.R. 708/Blue Heron Boulevard.
    • Access for emergency and first responder vehicles will be maintained following the detour route. Signage will be posted along the detour route to assist motorists.
    • Access to all businesses on S.R. 708/Blue Heron Boulevard will remain open during this work.

  CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH DOCKS

  • Currie Park Boat Docks and Ramps (2400 North Flagler Drive): Ramps are closed until spring 2027.
  • Lake Mangonia Park Boat Ramps (2957 North Australian Avenue): Ramps are open daily, from sunrise to sunset. 
  • Clematis Street Docks (South Clematis Street at South Flagler Drive): Docks are open daily, from 5 a.m. until midnight.
  • Fern Street Dock (Fern Street at South Flagler Drive): The dock is open daily from 5 a.m. until midnight. No overnight dockage is allowed for boats, dinghies, or kayaks. The Fern Dock is also the home of a West Palm Beach Marine Patrol Boat and the West Palm Beach Fire and Rescue Boat.
