Juneteenth Community Day at the Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach marked the day all enslaved people in the United States were finally free. It was a celebration devoted to music, dance, and remembrance.

City Center Parking Garage PSA
The first floor of the City Center Parking Garage is being coated this week.
To complete the coating of the entrance ramp, the garage entrance will be closed from Sunday, June 28 at 12 a.m. (midnight) through Monday, June 29 at 5 a.m.
This closure is necessary to allow the coating to cure properly.
During this period, the City Center Parking Garage will be closed to incoming traffic and will be open for exit only, allowing anyone who parked in the garage prior to the closure to leave as needed.

The closer you park to the waterfront, the more you'll pay — and the more traffic you'll encounter. Consider parking west of downtown for a quicker arrival, easier exit, and lower parking rates. View parking rates!

Next City Commission Meeting
The next scheduled City Commission meeting is Monday, July 6, 2026, at 5 p.m. in City Hall, 401 Clematis Street.
Commission meetings are held every other Monday, except for holidays, and the public is encouraged to attend.
On June 22, 2026, the City Commission approved the preliminary Fire Service Assessment rates for Fiscal Year 2026/2027 and scheduled a public hearing for August 17, 2026, to consider final adoption of the assessment roll and rates.
As part of the proposed rates, the City Commission will consider removing the current 80% discount on the Fire Service Assessment for nonprofit-owned institutional properties, consistent with direction provided during the March 23, 2026 Mayor/Commission Work Session. All other Fire Service Assessment rates would remain unchanged.
