FLORIDA DEPT. OF TRANSPORTATION (FDOT) ROAD CLOSURES IN THE CITY OF WPB
State Road (SR) 710/Beeline Highway Reconstruction Project (through late 2029)
Project Limits: 3.142-mile project in the cities of Palm Beach Gardens, Riviera Beach and West Palm Beach began on March 18, 2024.
Improvements consist of widening SR 710/Beeline Highway from Northlake Boulevard to SR 708/Blue Heron Boulevard from 4 lanes to 6 lanes, replacing and widening the Florida’s Turnpike bridge over SR 710/Beeline Highway, constructing an at-grade partial Continuous Flow Intersection (CFI) at the intersection of SR 710/Beeline Highway and Northlake Boulevard, adding sidewalks and bicycle lanes on both sides of SR 710/Beeline Highway, upgrading railroad crossings, drainage, signage, lighting, signalization and pavement markings throughout project limits, and upgrading Intelligent Transportation System (ITS).
S.R. 710/Beeline Highway lanes from S.R. 809/Military Trail to S.R. 708/Blue Heron Boulevard will be reduced to one inside lane through May 2026.
S.R. 710/Beeline Highway from S.R. 708/Blue Heron to Northlake Boulevard will have one inside lane closed in each direction daily, 7 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
S.R. 710/Beeline Highway and Northlake Boulevard will have one inside lane closed in each direction daily, 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
S.R. 710/Beeline Highway and Jog Road will have one inside lane closed in each direction daily, 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
S.R. 710/Beeline Highway and Haverhill Road will have one inside lane closed in each direction daily, 7 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
S.R. 710/Beeline Highway from Military Trail to Blue Heron Boulevard will have one lane closed in each direction daily, 7 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
S.R. 710/Beeline Highway lane widths are reduced, and westbound traffic has been shifted to the median from just east of the Turnpike to Blue Heron Boulevard to safely facilitate construction activities.
S.R. 710/Beeline Highway will have one southeast-bound lane closed daily, from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
S.R. 710/Beeline Highway from south of Haverhill Road to north of Jog Road will have one outside southeast-bound lane closed from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday, to safely facilitate demolition activities.
The S.R. 710/Beeline Highway northwest ramp to eastbound Northlake Boulevard has been temporarily closed to safely facilitate this phase of construction and is anticipated to reopen in Spring 2026. During this closure, motorists can continue on S.R. 710/Beeline Highway and turn right at the light to access eastbound Northlake Boulevard.
The southeast S.R. 710/Beeline Highway left turn lane to eastbound S.R. 708/Blue Heron Boulevard will be closed around-the-clock through September 2026.
Detour:
Motorists traveling to eastbound S.R. 708/Blue Heron Boulevard will be detoured via southeast S.R. 710/Beeline Highway, north on S.R. 809/Military Trail, and east on S.R. 708/Blue Heron Boulevard.
Access for emergency and first responder vehicles will be maintained following the detour route. Signage will be posted along the detour route to assist motorists.
Access to all businesses on S.R. 708/Blue Heron Boulevard will remain open during this work.
S.R. 5/U.S. 1 Resurfacing, Restoration, and Rehabilitation Project (through early 2027)
Project Limits: This 1.044-mile project on S.R. 5/U.S. 1 from Belvedere Road to south of Okeechobee Boulevard in the city of West Palm Beach began in April 2026. Project Improvements consist of minor reconstruction, and milling and resurfacing the roadway throughout the project limits of S.R. 5/U.S. 1 from Belvedere Road to south of S.R. 704/Okeechobee Boulevard to enhance infrastructure resilience and safety for the community; reconstructing curb ramps to meet ADA criteria and replacing portions of the existing sidewalk to improve pedestrian safety, connectivity, and use; upgrading signing and pavement markings to enhance visibility and safety; replacing drainage structures within driveways; adding a new signalized mid-block crosswalk north of Vallette Way; upgrading pedestrian signalization at Belvedere Road and Flamingo Drive and the crosswalk north of Cranesnest Way; installing overhead flashing beacons within the school zone north and south of Flamingo Drive; and upgrading lighting to LED fixtures and installing a new light at Flamingo Drive.
Northbound and southbound S.R. 5/U.S.1 may have one lane closed intermittently from Belvedere Road to S.R. 704/Okeechobee Boulevard, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., through Friday, July 17th, for concrete work. Flaggers will direct traffic as needed.

CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH DOCKS
Currie Park Boat Docks and Ramps (2400 North Flagler Drive): Ramps are closed until spring 2027.
Lake Mangonia Park Boat Ramps (2957 North Australian Avenue): Ramps are open daily, from sunrise to sunset.
Clematis Street Dock (South Clematis Street at South Flagler Drive): Dock are open daily, from 5 a.m. until midnight.
Fern Street Dock (Fern Street at South Flagler Drive): The dock is open daily from 5 a.m. until midnight. No overnight dockage is allowed for boats, dinghies, or kayaks. The Fern Dock is also the home of a West Palm Beach Marine Patrol Boat and the West Palm Beach Fire and Rescue Boat.
