Florida Legislators Present Check for City of West Palm Beach Membrane Pilot Testing Project for Alternative Water Supply
The City of West Palm Beach is taking a proactive approach to shift the future of its water supply from reliance on surface water to an alternative water supply — the Floridan Aquifer. A first step in this multi-year program is to implement a pilot study.
The pilot study will be used for water quality analyses and studies that will evaluate corrosion control and blending strategies within the water distribution system. This investment supports the City's long-term strategy to diversify and strengthen West Palm Beach's drinking water supply for future generations.
The check was presented by State Representative Jervonte Edmonds and Senator Mack Bernard, during this week's City Commission Meeting.

Palm Beach State College America 250 Celebration Day
"I was honored to recognize the extraordinary talent, craftsmanship, and dedication of 11 welding students from Palm Beach State College this week.
In celebration of America's 250th anniversary, these students created something truly remarkable. Their eagle sculpture, "Forged Freedom," is a powerful tribute to the strength, sacrifice, perseverance, and freedom that define the American spirit.
Over the course of more than three weeks and approximately 350 hours, the team transformed raw metal into a stunning work of art standing 7 feet, 7 inches tall, spanning nearly 6 feet wide, and weighing 325 pounds. Under the guidance and leadership of faculty, these students used plasma cutting and MIG welding, demonstrating exceptional technical skill, creativity, teamwork, and pride in their craft.

Tribute to Dr. Matthew Dobbs
"This week, we recognized the incredible work of Dr. Matthew Dobbs.
Dr. Dobbs has distinguished himself through exceptional leadership in pediatric orthopedics by developing and refining the Dobbs method, a patient-centered approach that has transformed the treatment paradigm for congenital vertical talus, a rare and complex foot deformity that, if untreated or inadequately treated, can lead to lifelong pain, disability, and significant functional limitation.
Dr. Dobbs is a true pioneer not only in congenital foot deformities but also in the precision of various procedures in treating cerebral palsy.
As one of the most influential pediatric orthopedic surgeons, the collective impact of Dr. Dobbs’ innovation, scholarship, and dedication has benefited patients and families, strengthened clinical standards, and inspired ongoing research and excellence across the pediatric orthopedic global community.
