West Palm Beach Mayor and City Commission Meeting and Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) Meeting Approvals and Decisions
WEST PALM BEACH, FL (08/04/26) – Below is a summary of the approvals and decisions made by the City Commission meeting on Monday, August 3, 2026.
MAYOR’S OFFICE – Approved a resolution appropriating $725,000 from the Art in Public Places Capital Reserves balance to commission artist Davina Semo to create a site-specific permanent public artwork for Currie Park.
CITY ATTORNEY – Approved a resolution authorizing the assessment of City liens in the total amount of $12,818.11 for unpaid water service, sewer service, and stormwater charges for the month of April 2026; approved a resolution approving First Amendment to Convention Center - West Palm Beach Agreement between the City of West Palm Beach, West Palm Beach Community Redevelopment Agency, CityPlace Hotel LLC, Palm Beach County, and CityPlace South Tower II, LLC; approved an ordinance after second public hearing granting to Florida Public Utilities Company a non-exclusive franchise for a period of thirty (30) years to sell, distribute, transport, and transmit natural, manufactured, or mixed gas in the City of West Palm Beach.
DEVELOPMENT SERVICES – Approved an ordinance after first public hearing regarding the CityPlace Commercial Planned Development to adopt development regulations for the Convention Center District and Hotel II Subarea, and related discussion of Resolution Nos. 156-26 and 157-26.

Approved a resolution authorizing the conveyance of the real property located at 631 6th Street to Habitat for Humanity for the purposes of affordable housing.
Approved a resolution authorizing the conveyance of the real property located at 401 Division Avenue to Habitat for Humanity to develop affordable housing.
Approved a resolution authorizing the CRA to lease the property located at 608 23rd Street, Unit D, West Palm Beach, Florida, 33407, to Carol Samantha Cyprian
Approved a resolution approving a first amendment to the Convention Center Hotel - West Palm Beach Agreement between the City of West Palm Beach, the West Palm Beach Community Redevelopment Agency, CityPlace Hotel, LLC, Palm Beach County, and CityPlace South Tower II, LLC.
