West Palm Beach Mayor and City Commission Special Meeting Approvals and Decisions
WEST PALM BEACH, FL (09/24/26) – Below is a summary of the approvals and decisions made at the City Commission meeting on Wednesday, September 23, 2026.
FINANCE – Approved a resolution adopting the final Fiscal Year 2026/2027 final ad valorem millage rates of 8.0803 for operating purposes and 0.0533 mills for debt service on voter-approved general obligation debt for an aggregate millage rate of 8.1336. The operating millage is 5.05% above the “rolled-back rate” of 7.6915.
Approved a resolution adopting the Fiscal Year 2026/2027 operating budget. The total City-wide budget for all funds is $949,434,844 (excluding the CRA and ECR) for the fiscal year 2026/2027. The operating millage mentioned previously relates only to the General Fund budget, which totals $302,725,831. The budget is balanced on the millage rates discussed above.
