Banyan Boulevard Railroad Crossing to Temporarily Close for Maintenance
WEST PALM BEACH, FL (September 29, 2026) — The City of West Palm Beach is advising motorists that Banyan Boulevard at the Florida East Coast (FEC)/Brightline railroad crossing, just west of Quadrille Boulevard, will be fully closed from Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026, at 6 p.m. through Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026, at 6 p.m. for scheduled railroad maintenance.
The closure is necessary to allow the railway and its contractors to perform maintenance and improvements to the railroad grade crossing.
Drivers should expect delays and allow additional travel time. Advance warning signs will be installed throughout the surrounding area to alert motorists of the closure and detour.
CLOSURE DETAILS
Location: Banyan Boulevard at the FEC/Brightline railroad crossing
Closure: Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026, at 6 p.m. through Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026, at 6 p.m.
Impact: Full closure of Banyan Boulevard at the railroad crossing, just west of Quadrille Boulevard
Parking: The Clematis Garage will remain accessible from Banyan Boulevard and Clematis Street.
Detour: Eastbound traffic will be detoured via Rosemary Avenue, 3rd Street and Quadrille Boulevard. Westbound traffic will be detoured via Quadrille Boulevard, Clematis Street, and Rosemary Avenue.
