CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH ENGINEERING, PUBLIC WORKS & UTILITY ROAD CLOSURES 

  • Currie Park (through spring 2027):
    • Sidewalk closure on east side of Nortrh Flagler Drive in front of Currie Park
  • Chase Street & Trinity Place Streetscape (through end 2026):
    • Chase Street closed between Trinity Place and Tanglewood Court. Including the intersection of Tanglewood and Chase
    • Trinity Place closed between South Olive Avenue & Chase Street. Road remains open for local traffic only
  • Northmore Neighborhood Sidewalk Improvements (through fall 2026):
    • Intermittent lane closure with flagging operations.
  • North Flagler Drive Utility Improvements (early 2027):
    • Full closure on Flagler Drive between 30th Street and 34th Street. Follow posted detours.
  • Tidal Valves Project (late 2026):
  • Barcelona Road and Flagler Drive: Full intersection on Monday, October 12.
  • Sanitary Sewer Utility Hardening: Intermittent Lane closures through December 2026 for City Sanitary Sewer Lining. Two-way traffic maintained. The following streets are affected:

  • Clematis Loading Zone Relocation:
    • Single-lane closure on North Dixie Highway between Clematis Street and Datura Street through Monday, October 19, 2026.
  • Roosvelt Estates Landscape Round abounds:
    • Intermittent lane closures at the intersections of 7th Street and Handy Avenue & 7th Street and 11th Street through the end of the year
  • Georgia Avenue from Forest Hill Boulevard to Dobbins Road pavement resurfacing: Intermittent lane closures through October 31, 2026 st
  • 24th Street Utility Replacement
    • 24th Street closed from west of Spruce Avenue to North Dixie Highway until the end of October.  Follow posted detours.

EVENT ROAD CLOSURES

  • Clematis by Night –Thursday, October 8, and Thursday, October 15  -- Note the following road closures will be in place:
    • Thursdays 1:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.:
      • North & South Clematis Streets between Narcissus Avenue and Flagler Drive
      • Lantana Avenue between Banyan Boulevard and North Clematis Street 
  • GreenMarket – Saturday, October 10 and Saturday, October 17 – Note the following road closures will be in place:
    • Saturdays from 5 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.:
      • 100 blocks of North and South Clematis Streets.
      • Lantana Avenue between Banyan Boulevard and North Clematis Street
      • 200 – 400 block of Clematis Street.
    • Saturdays 7:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.
      • South Dixie Highway between Banyan Boulevard and Datura Street
      • South Olive Avenue between Banyan Boulevard and Datura Street

PRIVATE PROJECT ROAD CLOSURES

  • Publix on Southern Boulevard and Parker Avenue
  • Lake Avenue closure between Nottingham Boulevard and Southern Boulevard from through Tuesday, October 13.  Please follow posted detours. 
  • 40th Street and 41st Street Utility Replacement until end of 2026.  Follow posted detours.
  • Olara Boat Dock (through January 2028): No closures at this time.
  • Olara (through early 2030):
    • Hard closure of the parking and northbound lane on North Flagler Drive from until further notice
    • Flagging operations on southbound lane for continuous traffic on North Flagler Drive
  • Ritz Carlton (through late 2027):
    • Right southbound lane of North Flagler Drive closed between Pine Street and North Lakeside Court until further notice
  • Shorecrest (through late 2027)
    • Right southbound lane of North Flagler Drive closed between Pine Street and North Lakeside Court until further notice.
  • PBAU Parking Garage & Residence Tower (through summer 2027)
    • Full closure on Gruber Place from South Dixie Highway to Wallingford Place until further notice including sidewalk through end of 2026
    • Full closure on Wallingford from Gruber Place to Acacia Road until further notice through end of 2026
  • South Flagler House (through December 2026):
    • Currie Crescent is closed east of South Olive Avenue
    • Full closure of southbound lane along frontage of project on South Flagler Drive
    • Sidewalk closure along the frontage of the project
  • The District (through fall 2026):
    • Full closure on 23rd Street between Pinewood Avenue and Broadway Avenue until the end of November
  • NORA Hotel (through fall 2026):
    • No active roadway closures at this time.
  • NYU (through the end of 2026):
    • Datura Street between South Dixie Highway and South Olive Avenue will be closed Monday, October 12 through Wednesday, October 14.
    • Eastbound Datura Street between South Dixie Highway and South Olive Avenue closed during the duration of the project
    • Parking stalls are not accessible along South Dixie Highway
    • Sidewalk closure between Datura Street and Evernia Street
  • Square One East/West Towers (through late 2026):
    • Full closure on Gardenia Street between Rosemary Avenue & Quadrille Boulevard
  • Kirksey Commons (through early 2027)
    • 14th Street and 15th Street closed between Spruce Avenue and North Dixie Highway until further notice
  • West Palm Pointe (spring 2028):
    • No road closures.
    • Intermittent flagging operation on Lakeview Avenue
  • One West Palm (through 2026)
    • Roadway closure on 4th Street between North Dixie Highway and Quadrille Boulevard
    • Sidewalk closure on west side of North Dixie Highway between 4th Street and 5th Street
  • 320 Lakeview (Mr. Cs Residence) (through fall 2027):
    • Intermittent flagging operation on Lakeview Avenue

FEC/Brightline RR Crossing improvements:

Belvedere Road Railroad Crossing:

  • Full closure of Belvedere Road at the FEC/Brightline railroad crossing for track-adjacent construction through Thursday, October 8 at 6 p.m.

    PALM BEACH COUNTY ENGINEERING & PUBLIC WORKS ROAD CLOSURES IN THE CITY

  • South Australian Avenue south of Mercer Avenue and Old Okeechobee Road: Periodic lane closures for drainage installation.

    FLORIDA DEPT. OF TRANSPORTATION (FDOT) ROAD CLOSURES IN THE CITY OF WPB 

    State Road (SR) 710/Beeline Highway Reconstruction Project (through late 2029)

  • Project Limits: 3.142-mile project in the cities of Palm Beach Gardens, Riviera Beach and West Palm Beach began on March 18, 2024.
  • Improvements consist of widening SR 710/Beeline Highway from Northlake Boulevard to SR 708/Blue Heron Boulevard from 4 lanes to 6 lanes, replacing and widening the Florida’s Turnpike bridge over SR 710/Beeline Highway, constructing an at-grade partial Continuous Flow Intersection (CFI) at the intersection of SR 710/Beeline Highway and Northlake Boulevard, adding sidewalks and bicycle lanes on both sides of SR 710/Beeline Highway, upgrading railroad crossings, drainage, signage, lighting, signalization and pavement markings throughout project limits, and upgrading Intelligent Transportation System (ITS).
    • S.R. 710/Beeline Highway lanes from S.R. 809/Military Trail to S.R. 708/Blue Heron Boulevard will be reduced to one inside lane through May 2026. 
    • S.R. 710/Beeline Highway from S.R. 708/Blue Heron to Northlake Boulevard will have one inside lane closed in each direction daily, 7 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
    • S.R. 710/Beeline Highway and Northlake Boulevard will have one inside lane closed in each direction daily, 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
    • S.R. 710/Beeline Highway and Jog Road will have one inside lane closed in each direction daily, 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
    • S.R. 710/Beeline Highway and Haverhill Road will have one inside lane closed in each direction daily, 7 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
    • S.R. 710/Beeline Highway from Military Trail to Blue Heron Boulevard will have one lane closed in each direction daily, 7 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
    • S.R. 710/Beeline Highway Lane widths are reduced, and westbound traffic has been shifted to the median from just east of the Turnpike to Blue Heron Boulevard to safely facilitate construction activities.
    • S.R. 710/Beeline Highway will have one southeast-bound lane closed daily, from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
    • S.R. 710/Beeline Highway from south of Haverhill Road to north of Jog Road will have one outside southeast-bound lane closed from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday, to safely facilitate demolition activities.
    • The S.R. 710/Beeline Highway northwest ramp to eastbound Northlake Boulevard has been temporarily closed to safely facilitate this phase of construction and is anticipated to reopen in Spring 2026. During this closure, motorists can continue on S.R. 710/Beeline Highway and turn right at the light to access eastbound Northlake Boulevard.
    • The southeast S.R. 710/Beeline Highway left turn lane to eastbound S.R. 708/Blue Heron Boulevard will be closed around-the-clock through September 2026.

    Detour:

    • Motorists traveling to eastbound S.R. 708/Blue Heron Boulevard will be detoured via southeast S.R. 710/Beeline Highway, north on S.R. 809/Military Trail, and east on S.R. 708/Blue Heron Boulevard.
    • Access for emergency and first responder vehicles will be maintained following the detour route.  Signage will be posted along the detour route to assist motorists.
    • Access to all businesses on S.R. 708/Blue Heron Boulevard will remain open during this work.

       

    S.R. 5/U.S. 1 Resurfacing, Restoration, and Rehabilitation Project (through early 2027)

  • Project Limits: This 1.044-mile project on S.R. 5/U.S. 1 from Belvedere Road to south of Okeechobee Boulevard in the city of West Palm Beach began in April 2026. Project Improvements consist of minor reconstruction, and milling and resurfacing the roadway throughout the project limits of S.R. 5/U.S. 1 from Belvedere Road to south of S.R. 704/Okeechobee Boulevard to enhance infrastructure resilience and safety for the community; reconstructing curb ramps to meet ADA criteria and replacing portions of the existing sidewalk to improve pedestrian safety, connectivity, and use; upgrading signing and pavement markings to enhance visibility and safety; replacing drainage structures within driveways; adding a new signalized mid-block crosswalk north of Vallette Way; upgrading pedestrian signalization at Belvedere Road and Flamingo Drive and the crosswalk north of Cranesnest Way; installing overhead flashing beacons within the school zone north and south of Flamingo Drive; and upgrading lighting to LED fixtures and installing a new light at Flamingo Drive.
  • Northlake Boulevard, west of S.R. 710/Beeline Highway, will have one lane closed in each direction, as needed, from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
  • Northlake Boulevard, east of S.R. 710/Beeline Highway, will have one lane closed in each direction, as needed, from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
  • The S.R. 710/Beeline Highway northwest-bound access to eastbound Northlake Boulevard has been temporarily shifted to safely facilitate this phase of construction. The current movement is anticipated to reopen in Winter 2026. During this phase, from S.R. 710/Beeline Highway northwest-bound, motorists can turn right at the intersection to access eastbound Northlake Boulevard.
  • Northlake Boulevard lanes in each direction at the S.R. 710/Beeline Highway intersection have been temporarily shifted, and U-turns in both directions are not available to safely facilitate this phase of construction. This new traffic pattern will remain in place until Winter 2026.

Detour:

  • Northbound and southbound S.R. 5/U.S.1 may have one lane closed intermittently between Belvedere Road and S.R. 704/Okeechobee Boulevard, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., through Friday, October. 9, for concrete and electrical work.
  • Northbound S.R. 5/U.S.1 from Barcelona Road to Acacia Road will have the outside lane closed through fall 2026, for drainage operations and concrete work.
  • The sidewalk at the northwest corner of S.R. 5/U.S. 1 and Belvedere Road will be closed through Thursday, October. 8, for concrete and electrical work.

  CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH DOCKS

  • Currie Park Boat Docks and Ramps (2400 North Flagler Drive): Ramps are closed until spring 2027.
  • Lake Mangonia Park Boat Ramps (2957 North Australian Avenue): Ramps are open daily, from sunrise to sunset. 
  • Clematis Street Dock (South Clematis Street at South Flagler Drive): Dock are open daily, from 5 a.m. until midnight. 
  • Fern Street Dock (Fern Street at South Flagler Drive): The dock is open daily from 5 a.m. until midnight. No overnight dockage is allowed for boats, dinghies, or kayaks. The Fern Dock is also the home of a West Palm Beach Marine Patrol Boat and the West Palm Beach Fire and Rescue Boat.
