GreenMarket Opening Day: The World, Right Here!
"I am so proud to see how far the West Palm Beach GreenMarket has come and how much it has grown as we welcome its 32nd season.
What started with just 13 vendors in a small parking lot has grown into one of our region’s largest, nationally recognized and award-winning gatherings.
And this year, we are celebrating the incredible flavors, cultures and traditions that our vendors bring every weekend to create “The World, Right Here.”
During the opening ceremony on Saturday, we had a little help from Ceviche & Guac House, who showed us how to make fresh guacamole and salsa — a perfect example of what the GreenMarket is all about: fresh ingredients, diverse traditions and bringing people together.
Thank you to our vendors, our City team, our sponsors, and everyone who makes the GreenMarket so special!" — Mayor Keith A. James
20th Annual Palm Beach Partners Business Matchmaker Conference & Expo
"Celebrating 20 years of bringing together small businesses, minority and women business enterprises, large businesses, resource partners and government agencies, this milestone is a reminder that small business is big business in West Palm Beach.
Through the third quarter of this fiscal year, the City has paid $16.5 million to small businesses, representing 18% of all competed dollars. Through training, technical assistance and programs that help businesses build capacity, we are continuing to expand opportunities for local businesses to grow and succeed.
When our small businesses succeed, our entire community benefits. Thank you to the Palm Beach Partners, participating agencies, resource partners and everyone who has helped make this conference possible for 20 years." — Mayor Keith A. James
The Daily Focaccia Ribbon Cutting
"I was pleased to welcome The Daily Focaccia to Downtown West Palm Beach and congratulate co-founders Fernanda Bruna and Chef Erjon Musaj on this exciting milestone. Bringing a taste of Tuscany to Evernia Street, The Daily Focaccia offers fresh-baked focaccia, quality ingredients and authentic Italian flavors inspired by Chef Erjon’s upbringing in Tuscany.
New businesses like The Daily Focaccia add to the energy and character of our downtown, create jobs and strengthen our growing business community. We are grateful to Fernanda and Erjon for choosing West Palm Beach to bring their vision to life, and we wish The Daily Focaccia many years of success." — Mayor Keith A. James
