Julie & Mike Connors Boys & Girls Club | Ribbon Cutting & Grand Opening
“Every child deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential, and this new Boys & Girls Club represents exactly that.
With a beautiful 31,000-square-foot facility and a new Workforce Readiness Center, we are creating safe spaces where young people can learn, build confidence, explore career opportunities, and prepare for the future. Building a Community of Opportunity for All means ensuring that a child’s ZIP code or family income never determines the opportunities available to them.
Thank you to Jaene Miranda, President and CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County, her amazing team, and the dedicated supporters who made this possible. And a very special thank you to Julie and Mike Connors, whose generosity and vision helped bring this remarkable facility to life.
Together, we are investing in our young people and building a stronger West Palm Beach.” — Mayor Keith A. James

Alzheimer’s Community Care | Cocktails & Croquet Season Kickoff
“Alzheimer’s affects more than the person living with the disease; it touches entire families, and no one should have to navigate that journey alone. That is why organizations like Alzheimer’s Community Care are so important. They provide essential support, education, and specialized services that offer dignity for those in their care, peace of mind for their loved ones, and compassion and hope for everyone they serve.
The true strength of our West Palm Beach community is measured not only by our growth, but by how we care for one another, especially those who need us most. Thank you to Alzheimer’s Community Care, its dedicated team, and everyone whose generosity helps ensure families receive the compassion and support they deserve.” — Mayor Keith A. James
The Urban Land Institute’s Fall 2026 Meeting | Miami Beach Convention Center
“West Palm Beach is entering one of the most exciting chapters in its history, driven by strategic investment, strong public-private partnerships, and a shared vision of building a Community of Opportunity for All.
From the transformation of downtown, CityPlace, and the NORA District to investments in affordable and workforce housing, transportation, and small businesses, we are working to create opportunities for residents while preserving the character and cultural identity of our City that makes it unique.
With more than 1,600 affordable and workforce housing units completed or in development through our 1,400 in 8 initiative, we are making meaningful progress, but there is more work to do. Our success will be measured not simply by how much we build, but by whether our residents can share in our growth and continue to live, work, and thrive here.
West Palm Beach is not simply growing. We are rising.” — Mayor Keith A. James

If you could travel through time to our City's earliest days, you would see a landscape that's much different than today's. You would see native trees and colorful scrub that don't appear in a modern lawn. In this episode, we'll look at how "going native" has a lot of advantages, in both beauty and in cost.

Parking Tip of the Week!
See a hydrant? Give it SPACE!
Before you park, check for nearby fire hydrants and leave at least 15 feet of space.
That space matters. Keeping hydrants clear gives first responders the access they need during an emergency.
Florida law prohibits standing or parking within 15 feet of a fire hydrant.
