City Hall, the Mandel Public Library, and the Grassy Waters Preserve Nature Center will be closed Monday, Sept. 7, 2026, in observance of the Labor Day Holiday. Regular trash collection will continue on a normal schedule. All City services will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2026.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (January 27, 2026) — The West Palm Beach Police Department responded to reports of gunfire along the 400 block of 16th Street around 2:40 p.m. on Monday, January 26.
Upon arrival, officers located an 18-year-old male, identified as Ri’Chard Jackson, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Jackson was pronounced deceased a short time later.
Preliminary investigation indicates the shooting potentially stemmed from an altercation involving multiple individuals.
The investigation remains ongoing.
