WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (March 9, 2026) — The West Palm Beach Police Department and Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home along the 500 block of Division Avenue around 6 p.m.
An individual identified as 32-year-old John Nordquist was found with a note claiming he was in possession of an explosive.
PBSO’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit responded out of an abundance of caution and area homes were temporarily evacuated. Residents returned to their homes around 7:30 p.m.
Nordquist was taken into custody by PBSO on unrelated charges.
The investigation is ongoing.
