West Palm Beach City Hall, the Mandel Public Library and the Grassy Waters Preserve Nature Center will be closed July 3-4, 2026, in observance of Independence Day. Grassy Waters Preserve Nature Center will reopen at 8:30 a.m. on Sun., July 5, 2026, and the Mandel Public Library will reopen at 1 p.m. City Hall will reopen at 8 a.m. on Mon., July 6, 2026. Trash collections will continue on schedule.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (April 27, 2026) — West Palm Beach police responded to a shooting along the 4300 block of 45th Street around 12 p.m.
Officers on scene determined an altercation occurred inside the business resulting in an individual pulling out a firearm and firing shots. One individual suffered minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital.
An individual was taken into custody for questioning. The investigation is ongoing.
