City Hall, the Mandel Public Library, and the Grassy Waters Preserve Nature Center will be closed Monday, Sept. 7, 2026, in observance of the Labor Day Holiday. Regular trash collection will continue on a normal schedule. All City services will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2026.

Police Investigate Rush-Hour Vehicle and Motorcycle Crash
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (April 28, 2026) — The West Palm Beach Police Department responded to a crash involving a vehicle and a motorcycle at the intersection of Okeechobee Boulevard and South Dixie Highway around 6:50 a.m.
A preliminary investigation indicates the motorcycle was struck by a truck, which overturned upon impact and struck a power pole. The motorcyclist was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Eastbound Okeechobee Boulevard at South Dixie Highway remains closed as a result of the crash.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
