City of West Palm Beach to Host Tomorrow.City USA
National Summit on the Future of Cities

WEST PALM BEACH, FL
(March 19, 2026) — The City of West Palm Beach will welcome more than 2,000 leaders from across the country when Tomorrow.City USA convenes April 14–15, 2026 at the Palm Beach County Convention Center, bringing together mayors, innovators, policymakers, and business leaders to explore how cities can build stronger, more connected communities for the future.

Tomorrow.City USA is the U.S. edition of the globally recognized Smart City Expo World Congress, which attracts tens of thousands of urban leaders annually to discuss innovation, technology, infrastructure, and solutions to the challenges facing modern cities.

The two-day summit will focus on critical issues shaping communities across the country, including responsible AI adoption, workforce development, climate resilience, modern transportation, and economic mobility.

West Palm Beach was selected as the host city in recognition of its rapid transformation and commitment to forward-thinking partnerships, highlighted by more than $10 billion in development activity, investments in modern mobility, and strong public-private partnerships driving economic growth.

“West Palm Beach is proud to welcome Tomorrow.City USA and the leaders who are working every day to strengthen communities across our nation,” said West Palm Beach Mayor Keith A. James. “At its heart, this summit is about community — about how cities can come together, share ideas, and create opportunities that improve the lives of the people we serve. West Palm Beach is proud to be a place where those conversations can happen.”

“West Palm Beach is exactly the kind of forward-thinking city that embodies the Tomorrow.City USA ethos. Mayor James and his team understand that the future of cities is about creating opportunity for everyone — through transportation, next-gen infrastructure, housing, education, and more. We are thrilled to partner with a city that is fostering an open conversation about creating modern cities to lead Americans into a prosperous future,” said Aarti Tandon, CEO of Tomorrow.City USA.

Support for the event also comes from Knight Foundation, which invests in the future of cities and the communities they serve.

“Our cities are laboratories for testing and scaling new ideas,” said Francesca de Quesada Covey, Vice President of Community Impact at Knight Foundation. “Convenings like Tomorrow.City USA help civic, business, and philanthropic leaders surface promising models and bring innovations that strengthen connection and resilience to communities across the country.”

The summit will feature leaders from government, technology, infrastructure, sports, and finance discussing how cities can responsibly deploy emerging technologies, strengthen workforce pipelines, and create resilient, inclusive communities for the future. Confirmed participants include Henry Mack, Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Department of Labor; Marc Ganzi, CEO of DigitalBridge; Jonathan Beckett, CEO of Burgess; and Patrick Goddard, CEO, Brightline, reflecting the wide range of voices coming together to share ideas and solutions.

Tomorrow.City USA builds on a global legacy of convening city leaders to address urban challenges and will bring that conversation to West Palm Beach, creating a new platform for collaboration and innovation in the United States.
