If you or someone you know has been thinking about installing an Electrical Vehicle (EV) charger at home, now’s the time to act.
The federal EV charging tax credit deadline is coming up, and chargers must be installed and operational by June 30, 2026 to qualify.
The EV charging tax credit (30C) can cover up to 30% of the cost of buying and installing a charger (up to $1,000 for individuals). Eligibility depends on where the charger is installed, but updated IRS guidance has helped make it clearer which locations qualify. Credit also applies to businesses and tax-exempt organizations.
