City of West Palm Beach Conducts Fire Hydrant and Water Valve Maintenance Program
The City's Public Utilities Department began a fire hydrant and water valve maintenance program on Monday, August 3, to help ensure the City's water distribution system continues to operate safely, efficiently, and reliably.
The City has contracted with Hydromax Utility Field Services to perform the work. Residents may notice work crews working on weekdays between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. — and crews may temporarily redirect traffic around work areas.
During this time, some customers may experience temporary sediment or slight discoloration in their water. While the water remains safe to drink, running cold water from the tap for one to two minutes will clear the discoloration.

The City and Fix My Flyer Hosts Second Annual "Prompt to Profit" AI Workshop
The City of West Palm Beach, in collaboration with Fix My Flyer, will host the Second Annual "Prompt to Profit" AI Workshop, a free, two-part hands-on training designed to help small business owners and professionals use artificial intelligence to grow and strengthen their businesses.
As part of the City's ongoing commitment to supporting small business development through education and innovation, the workshop will provide practical instruction on using AI to enhance marketing, streamline operations, create business materials, and improve overall efficiency.
The workshop will be led by Krissy Robbs, CEO of Fix My Flyer, a five-star rated creative design and marketing consulting company specializing in strategic branding, print marketing, and business growth solutions.
Session One: Monday, August 17, 2026 | 5 – 7 p.m. | Mandel Public Library, 411 Clematis Street, West Palm Beach
Session Two: Monday, August 24, 2026 | 5 – 7 p.m. | Mandel Public Library, 411 Clematis Street, West Palm Beach
The workshop is open to individuals 18 years or older who own, operate, or support a business. No prior AI experience is required.
Parking will be validated for registered attendees. The workshop is free, but advance registration is required.

National Night Out With the WPB Police Department!
Thank you to everyone who joined us at this year's National Night Out event! Gaines Park was packed with great food, family fun, and community resources — and it gave community members the opportunity to meet the officers who proudly serve our City!
