Community Services Report | July 2026
Through its Housing and Community Development (HCD) Department’s Community Services Team, the City of West Palm Beach continues its efforts to enhance the quality of life for residents by developing housing, social, and economic opportunities. In collaboration with multiple social service providers, City staff work to connect individuals with the resources and support needed to achieve stability and self-sufficiency.
In July 2026, 523 total services were provided citywide to 171 individuals experiencing or at imminent risk of homelessness. The figures in the graphic highlight the Community Services Team's efforts and impacts.

Parking & Mobility Tip of the Week: Don’t Block the Crosswalk!
Under Florida law, you cannot park or stand a vehicle within 20 feet of a crosswalk at an intersection. Keep crosswalks clear to help keep pedestrians safe and traffic moving!
This “daylighting” rule improves visibility so drivers and pedestrians can see each other clearly. Parking too close to an intersection or directly on a crosswalk creates a blind spot and can force pedestrians into traffic.
Vehicles parked too close to or blocking a crosswalk are subject to citation.
Keep it clear. Every time.

The City and Fix My Flyer Host Second Annual "Prompt to Profit" AI Workshop | First Session NEXT WEEK!
The City of West Palm Beach, in collaboration with Fix My Flyer, will host the Second Annual "Prompt to Profit" AI Workshop, a free, two-part hands-on training designed to help small business owners and professionals use artificial intelligence to grow and strengthen their businesses.
As part of the City's ongoing commitment to supporting small business development through education and innovation, the workshop will provide practical instruction on using AI to enhance marketing, streamline operations, create business materials, and improve overall efficiency.
The workshop will be led by Krissy Robbs, CEO of Fix My Flyer, a five-star rated creative design and marketing consulting company specializing in strategic branding, print marketing, and business growth solutions.
Session One: Monday, August 17, 2026 | 5 – 7 p.m. | Mandel Public Library, 411 Clematis Street, West Palm Beach
Session Two: Monday, August 24, 2026 | 5 – 7 p.m. | Mandel Public Library, 411 Clematis Street, West Palm Beach
The workshop is open to individuals 18 years or older who own, operate, or support a business. No prior AI experience is required.
Parking will be validated for registered attendees. The workshop is free, but advance registration is required.
Touch-A-Truck at the Mandel Public Library!
Last week, these kids had a blast at the Touch-A-Truck event with the West Palm Beach Fire Department!
The fun kicked off with an interactive fire safety story time at the Mandel Public Library, followed by an up-close encounter with a fire truck!
A huge thank you to our incredible WPB firefighters for spending the morning teaching some of our youngest residents about fire safety.
And thank you to our amazing children’s librarians for putting together such an exciting and educational experience for our community!
