Published on May 23, 2025

The Precautionary Boil Water Advisory issued on May 19, 2025, for the area west of Parker Avenue to Dreher Park, between Summit Boulevard and Southern Boulevard, has been lifted based on sampling results indicating that the water is safe to drink.

1400 in 8 Early in 2024, Mayor Keith A. James announced an ambitious plan to create 1400 affordable, workforce homes by the send of his second term as Mayor. This was the third time he set the bar. In 2021, he set it at 300-in-3 years. In 2023, he challenged developers to create 600-units in 3 years. After exceeding 600 units. he raised the bar to 1400-in-8 years.
