The Mayor's Neighborhood's Initiative will do the following to create a culture that focuses on neighborhood collaboration and partnerships:
- It will receive and track various community concerns and requests from residents
- It will identify appropriate City resources to help close unresolved issues
- It will help improve community relations and customer services
On June 21, 2019 Mayor James announced that Tiffany L. David, AICP joined the City of West Palm Beach as Director of the Mayor’s Neighborhoods First Initiative and Advisory Group. In this role, Ms. David oversees the initiative and communicate the concerns of residents, community groups, and local businesses in the City of West Palm Beach. She also develops and maintains a response program that receives and tracks various internal and external community concerns and requests in the City, identify appropriate City resources, and develops methods to improve community relations and customer service. Ms. David will also liaise with City Commissioners to help them raise awareness in our community of how the city resolves issues in our neighborhoods.

James. “I am committed to creating a customer-friendly culture that focuses on neighborhood initiatives, regional collaboration, and community partnerships. I welcome Ms. David to the team, as we put neighborhoods—our residents, families, and their concerns and ideas-- first.”
