City Offices to Close July 3-4 in Observance of Independence Day

West Palm Beach City Hall, the Mandel Public Library, and the Grassy Waters Preserve Nature Center will be closed on Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day. Regular trash and garbage pickup services will be provided on a regular schedule. Grassy Waters will reopen at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 5; the Mandel Public Library will reopen at 1 p.m. that day.

Now on view at The Urban at the Mandel Public Library, this immersive work marks the artist’s first monumental public installation.

City Partners with United Way to Provide Free Tax Assistance

The City of West Palm Beach is partnering with United Way Palm Beach County to provide free tax assistance to residents who earn $78,000 or less through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. VITA volunteers will be at two locations within the City, the Mandel Public Library and Eva W. Mack Community Hub. Free assistance will run from Monday, January 26, through Wednesday, April 15.

City Hall, Library, Grassy Waters Nature Center to Close for MLK Day

West Palm Beach City Hall, the Mandel Public Library and the Grassy Waters Nature Center will be closed on Monday, January 19, 2026, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Regular trash and garbage pickup services will be provided. On Tuesday, January 20, 2026, City Hall and the Grassy Waters Nature Center will resume at 8 a.m., and the Mandel Public Library will reopen at 9:30 a.m.
